1- Use right click to search google faster : If you are reading an online article and you wish to search for a term or a person in that article,just right click on the term or the name you want to search for,and choose “search google”. 2- Open link in a new tab using your mouse scroll key: If you want to open a link in a new tab,just place your cursor on the link and click the scroll wheel on your mouse.It will open the link in a new tab and save you the copy and paste time.
3- Use remote desktop app to access your computer: Download a remote desktop app on both your computer and phone so you can remotely access your computer and get any file you need and copy them to your phone. That way you can save time in case you forgot to send important files from your computer.
4- Scroll webpages using space bar: Use your space bar instead of the annoying up and down arrow keys and scroll bar. Just click on your space bar to allow scrolling down the page,use shift and space bar to scroll back up.
5- Use Password Managers to remember your passwords: We all tend to forget our accounts passwords at a point, many companies now offer password lockers that help store all your data in one place. So that if you forgot your password you can just go find it in the app.
6- Save time on frequent text entry in Word by using macros: To save time in frequent tasks, you can bundle the steps into a macro. As described in office support, a macro is a series of commands and instructions that you put together as a single command that can be used to accomplish the task automatically. First, you will need to record the macro. Then you can run it by clicking a button on the Quick Access Toolbar.
7- Use scanner apps to scan document on your phone: No need to go back to the office to scan and send a document, with scanner apps you can scan the document on your phone and save it in Pdf format. Just go to your store and download a scanner app and you’re good to go.
8- Create a template for your frequently used documents: If you use the same document frequently,like certain forms, you can save time filling in everything every time you access them by simply turning them into a template. Once you create the document that you want to turn into template and click on “save as” then choose “save as type” then choose “word template” from the drop down menu. Now you have it as a template and all you will have to do next time you use it is to fill the data .
9- Access your files from anywhere: Universal storage has become an increasingly popular way to keep data synced across your many machines. Try using a service like Dropbox or Box, or I cloud for I phones. All you need to do then ios to upload your files to the service of your choosing, download the app onto all of your devices, and that's it! You'll now have access to all of your files anywhere you go. Best of all, you can set them to all sync whenever you make updates.
10: Consider getting a second monitor: This way you can save time by searching on one monitor and writing on the other, or use two different apps like using one app for resources and the other to make a video. A second monitor can definitely save you time and be really useful in accomplishing your tasks faster and easier.
