“I always become under pressure, especially during summer, when I see many people who have a certain lifestyle, wearing certain clothes. It makes me feel that I need a lot of effort to be like them” said Nadine, 23.

 

“I always follow the video that beauty centers share of lip filler sessions and how lips look beautiful, sexy, and attractive, but I can’t do it as the session was for 4K and I can’t afford it,” said Malak, 25 years old.

In the past few years, life has changed. A toxic circle has appeared. It made people only care about their appearance instead of developing themselves, their personalities, and how they can be good with people around them. Beauty & lifestyle standards have taken a huge part of people's lives. Most people care about fashion to be a part of the circle. How did the insecurities start?
Wide eyes, long eyelashes, plumped lips, clear skin, and clothes from the most well-known & international brands, this is what to be pretty means. It seems like those brands’ owners had made marketing research on how to sell their products & services, so they built beauty standards. So, a lot of women do unlimited trials to reach this image, and some other women stay under pressure because they cannot keep up with the trend.
