How Netflix Will Change Your Iftar Dishes
Few days separate us from Ramadan! Can’t wait for the feasts and all of its vibes! On the first day of Ramadan, my mom used to make Bechamel, fluffy Goulash and perfect duck dish with that lovely soup. The first week of Ramadan goes that way: amazing dishes every day. But after that week my mom starts to ask us, what to eat next? Sometimes we tell her what we want and sometimes we are out of ideas, so is she.
At that point, food programs are the way to go! Today I am recommending to you one of my favorite Netflix shows that will help you find your next beloved dish that will pamper you and your family.
Nadiya’s Bakes
It’s one of the sweetest baking shows ever made. Nadiya Hussien, the Greatest Baking Show winner, amazes me with her first love -baking- recipes and her waves of inspiration, and truly scrumptious looking treats.
The show consists of 8 episodes, each one includes 3 recipes and a showcasing of some of the bakers and patisserie chefs she most admires.
In every episode, Nadiya will leave you jonesing for her recipes starting from Teriyaki chicken noodles and ending with Mango and coconut cake

Nadiya describes baking as her “happy place,” and as a means of self-care: “If I’m anxious, I bake. If I feel a little bit sad, I bake. If I’m concentrating on a recipe, I feel like I don’t have to think about anything else.”
From watching the show I can say to you that baking is really her “happy place” and this vibe touched me as a watcher and with the last episode of the show, baking started to be my happy place too!
You may now be saying “baking in Ramadan? It will take too much time”, but Nadiya’s recipes are easy to make and you won’t even feel the time, you will find sweet bakes and sour ones too.
For me, it changed my perspective about baking. I used to think it was boring with lots of techniques I will never be able to execute, but with every episode, I started to think that maybe it’s not that hard and not boring, and it became my happy place too.
The thing I loved the most about this show is that all the recipes are not far too different from our own techniques, one episode was about the Baklava recipe.
This show is guaranteed to bring a little joy into your life and introduce you to new Iftar dishes and new desserts too.
