One of the most common problems for many people is having small apartments. Having a small apartment means having very little space for storage, very little space for creativity and decoration. It’s really depressing sometimes as you really need to calculate every little item before you buy it for fear of not fitting or taking other items places or worse, look ugly . the real challenge in small spaces is fitting everything in and making it look cozy and chic.
Fortunately, there are many solutions now that can fix the small space issue, whether tailor made furniture for small spaces, storage- abled furniture or hidden storage units that go behind pieces of furniture. There are also many hacks that can enable you to make the best use of every inch of your small space, and still make it look good. We’ve gathered some of these hacks and tips for you:
1- Go for storage bed: A storage bed will help you use its space the best. Even if the bed wasn’t built with storage unit, you can always fill the space under the bed with storage bags or baskets to free up more space in your room.
2-Shelves, shelves and more shelves: wall shelves are your friend in every room in your small space apartment. You can even do it yourself and it won’t take any time at all. You can use shelves in the living room for books and photo frames, or for decoration by simply putting potted plants and your favorite pieces of art. You can use shelves in the kitchen for spices racks, your microwave and your kitchen utensils. As for the bathroom, you can use shelves to arrange your hygiene products, and also to add some decoration.it can also be used in the kid’s room for toys and books, or in your bedroom for extra storage.
3- Put your towel rack above the toilet: If you have a really tiny bathroom, a towel rack will eat up just more of your space, hang your towel rack above the toilet to free up space for wall storage.
4- Use open storage in your kitchen: Open storage makes your kitchen look bigger as well as gives your kitchen a decorative touch. If your kitchen already has cabinets, you can create open storage simply by removing your cabinet doors.
5- Add plastic drawers to organize deep cabinets: Adding plastic drawers to your deep cabinets is another clever idea to use the cabinets wisely, that way you can use the cabinet for more than one purpose as well as always finding what you need easily without having to dig for what you need and messing the cabinet up every time. Use durable plastic bins as drawers for your cabinets.
6- Don’t have a place for bedside table, go for bed shelf: As handy as it really is, some bedrooms really don’t have a place to add a bedside table. In this case you can go for a bed shelf, it won’t be as spacious as the bedside table of course, but it will at least carry your mug and phone.
7- Use clothes organizer for your drawer: That way you’ll have more storage space in your drawer, as well as finding the items you need easier.it doesn’t always have to be for clothes, you can also use it in your kitchen to organize little plates or jars.
8- Door storage: You can use the inside of every cabinet doors as more storage space, use adhesive hooks or screw a bar in the inside of the door to use it for accessories, bags and scarves in your bedroom, or for more kitchen utensils in your kitchen.
9 - Hide your wires in the drawer: Use one of your drawers to keep your electronics like the router or your phone charger hidden. Put a power strip in your drawer in order to be able to put more than one device in there.
10 – Turn file organizer into a shelf: With very little cost, you can create a shelf for extra storage by simple using a file organizer.it is a very simple process that you can do yourself.
